Zero Waste

The creation of a Zero Waste strategy for the city of Regensburg is intended to counteract waste generation.

How do we avoid disposable products and reduce packaging? How does shopping without packaging work? How must cosmetic products and household items be designed to function in a resource-saving and biodegradable way?

These are the questions the Zero Waste movement is asking. Its advocates question our consumer behavior and turn to a minimalist lifestyle that experiences "doing without" as enrichment. And in the process, they're constantly developing new ideas, opportunities, and courses of action for individuals to avoid or reduce everyday waste.
